Strengthening Our Christian Walk

 Introduction

The past year 2023 has been a testament to God's unending love and mercy. In moments of joy and in times of challenge, His presence has been a constant source of strength and comfort. It's important to look back and acknowledge the many ways, both big and small that God has been at work in our lives.

I'm reminded of this saying that goes, without the past there can not be present and without the present there can not be future.

As we turn our sights to 2024, it's a time of hopeful anticipation. While we don't know what the future holds, we can be assured that God's goodness will continue to be a guiding force in our lives.

Just like you this year, i'm looking into developing and strengthening my walk of faith and making my space or small world a better place for everyone. There's nothing that feels so good like when people remember you and smile because of the positive impact or joy you've brought into their lives.

There are so many things that we can do to strengthen our intimacy with Christ and this serves as a reminder to me to really make sure I mean it this time to dig into the Word and truth daily. Just like Nuno our On-Air Host who encourages us to be intentional in our thoughts and actions.

Only by spending quality time with someone can you talk with them, learn from them, share your heart and grow close in intimacy. Here are some tips to help you and I (us) walk closer with God to build and renew quality relationship.

  • Consistent prayer life (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
  • Set aside time for devotion (Psalms119:105)
  • Attend fellowships (Hebrews 10:25)
  • Participate in fasting (Matthew 6:16-18)
  • Confession of our sins and seeking forgiveness (1 John 1:9)
  • Serving others with humility (Galatians 5:13)
  • Cultivating a heart of gratitude (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
  • Stay connected to the vine (John 15:4-5)
  • Guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:8)
  • Share your faith (Matthew 28:19-20)
Conclusion

We are not saved by works. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Nothing you can ever do in this world will buy you salvation. It is your faith and belief in Christ alone. Accepting His free gift and allowing Him to reside in your heart.

I pray that you are able to incorporate these things into your daily life and to develop rich, meaningful intimacy with Christ unlike anything you have ever experienced. Just know, He knows your heart and He will meet you right where you are.
