Lord, you're Welcomed!
When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming towards him, he said to Philip, 'Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?" (John 6:1-5)
In life many are the times we do things without involving God and expect a good outcome. it may be; starting a business, buying a new car, apartment, starting a relationship, etc.
And sometimes things may not work out as we expected and we end up complaining and blaming God to an extent of staying away from his presence like it was him who failed us.
We all know whatever God started he will always make a way through, which means there will be no struggle but even if there are a few challenges it will be there to teach us, 'this is the correct way to do this and not the other way. In the process, our faith and character will be built and, in the end, you will encourage someone that you prayed for something and God was faithful enough to do it.
In this case, we see Philip asked by Jesus 'where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?' And Philip answers correctly that it would take more than half a year's wages to buy enough bread for each one of them. But notice Jesus said where shall "we" he did not say "I" this means Jesus wants to be involved in our activities and affairs because without him 5Loaves + 2Fish = 7.
But with Jesus in the equation 5Loaves + 2Fish + Jesus = More than enough. There was this little boy who had loaves and fish. Why a little boy? Because Jesus wants you to give that little effort, that little strength, and, little faith and he is going to multiply.
Prayers for Today
Thank you, Lord, for connecting me to a family that loves you. Today I am encouraged. I will give that little encouragement to someone who needs it. I will make that little effort to read your Word and Pray every day consistently. In Jesus' name, I have prayed. Amen.
