How Sin Came into the World.
Now the serpent was more crafty (subtle, skilled in deceit) than any living creature of the field which the LORD God had made. And the serpent (Satan) said to the woman, “Can it really be that God has said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?”
And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees of the garden, except the fruit from the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God said, ‘You shall not eat from it nor touch it, otherwise you will die.’”
But the serpent said to the woman, “You certainly will not die! “For God knows that on the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened [that is, you will have greater awareness], and you will be like God, knowing [the difference between] good and evil.”
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise and insightful, she took some of its fruit and ate it; and she also gave some to her husband with her, and he ate.
Then the eyes of the two of them were opened [that is, their awareness increased], and they knew that they were naked; and they fastened fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. (Genesis 3:1-7)
Since we have already laid a foundation for our blog and understood what it takes to be a Wiseman and A foolish man, it would be good for us to get to understand the basic principles of Christianity so we can be well-rooted in our Faith and be helpful to our families and friends. The most important thing to remember is that we are all called to be ministers of the gospel, and salt of the earth; a city on the Hill that cannot be hidden, and none is an exception.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument],
And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own];
I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
From the above scripture in the book of Genesis, we see how sin came into the world and notice that Humankind was created of God's perfect and sinless nature. They had the free will to choose to obey or to disobey. Something tragic happened that is Satan came in form of a serpent and tempted Eve and she fell to his wiles and ate the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. She later gave to Adam who also ate and both fell into sin.
Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, so death spread to all people [no one being able to stop it or escape its power], because they all sinned. (Romans 5:12)
Since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands and territories. (Acts 17:26)
Therefore, all human beings trace their descent from Adam (one man), we inherit the sinful nature and so all men are born sinners.
