The world we are living in is full of wickedness, and the funniest thing is that all these "bad things" happening now or will happen in the future are not new or strange, because King Solomon in his wisdom is quoted saying;
"What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there's nothing new under the sun." (Ecclesiastes 1:9)
During the time of Noah, we see that as humans began to increase on the earth and the more wickedness increased because the intention of the human heart has always been inclined toward evil.
Can I live for God when there's all this wickedness around me? Yes, it is possible. A story is told of Lot (Abram's nephew) who lived in Sodom, he was a righteous man, living among the ungodly and yet the Lord rescued him, unlike his wife who remembered the pleasures of the world and turned back to become a pillar of salt.
For us to see God we have to be Holy because He is, He chose us from the beginning and set us apart as his treasured possession.
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." (1 Peter 2:9-10)
Our Lord Jesus came as a Lamb without blemish or spot (1 Peter 1:19) to be sacrificed for the forgiveness of our sins and to reconcile us to the father but He is coming back again this time as the Lion of Judah, King of Kings to judge the earth, He will judge the world in righteousness and the people in his faithfulness (Psalms 96:13)
Let us be careful, then, how we live - not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. (Ephesians 5:15)
God judged the serpent
So, the LORD God said to the snake, "Because you have done all this,
'Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.'" (Genesis 3:14-15)
God judged the woman
To the woman he said,
'I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor, you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.' (Genesis 3:16)
God judged the man
To Adam, he said, 'Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, "You must not eat from it,"'
'Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil, you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow, you will eat your food until you return to the ground since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust, you will return.' (Genesis 3:17-19)
Summary
Sorrow, dependency, and pain were pronounced on Eve and all humankind after her.
Work was to be laborious and hard for man, drought, famine, weariness, and decay set in.
The death penalty was pronounced, and the manifestations of death also came in; sickness, aging, accidents, hatred, jealousy, murder, etc.
Conclusion
Man's predicament;
For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out (Romans 7:18)
Man is not capable of himself; to think, to will, or do the will of God.
It's necessary for him to be regenerated and renewed in his intellect, affections, and will, and on all his powers by God in Christ through the Holy Spirit.
